Hi! I am just stumbling around the site now. To start, I adopted four abandoned eggs, and am trying to raise them. Help, hints and hellos are all appreciated!

i would recommend first day eggs (anything with 6 days and X hours) be behind a cut, so they don't get too many views too fast, and then they could get "soft shell" which isn't good. same for first-day hatchlings - too many views too fast can make them sick.

i'd also suggest posting once a day - if you forget the first two days, you should be all right. if your eggs get below 3 days (2d, 23h) there's a few LJ comms and fansites that have ERs - the eggs will get hatched! good to see that you're accepting aid, so someone else could post them if you're not going to be around.
