Tags reminder: Since this is a Neal McDonough specific comm, we don't need a 'neal mcdonough' tag. Again, please use the tags we have and if you need one that isn't listed, please request it in your post.

Hello everyone in McDonoughland. I have a few announcements I'd like to make.

First: I'd like to have any volunteers to beautify this place up (and the profile page) with a banner, pretty colors (since orange is Neal's favorite color for his beloved Syracuse - maybe something with a little orange in it), etc. I know there are a couple of tech savvy people out there and I'm looking at you. So let the creative juices flow! That way if Neal should ever stumble upon this place (God help us and him!), he would find a cool looking site and then run far away.

Second: TAGS!

Holy cow people! *gigglesnort* I just spent the morning fixing them. I ask you to please look at what we already have before making new ones. We really didn't need three tags for 'crazy dave' or three tags for Street Fighter and since this is the Neal comm, we don't need a tag for Neal McDonough icons. There were more duplicates and triplicates, but I think you all get the hint.

I've disabled the ability for anyone (except the mods) to make new tags for the time being. If you don't see a tag, please request one in your post and I'll approve it - or not. We're a small group and we're not inundated with posts, so we can keep our tags simple: graphics = wallpapers, manips, banners, etc.

I changed the tags for his movies and tv shows/guest appearances. You'll notice 'movie: street fighter', 'tv: tin man' and so on. I also put his characters into a category so it'll look like this: 'character: crazy dave'. Yes, I left it like that instead of 'Dave Williams' because I'm the mod.

Third: Last year I had tossed around the idea of doing a Birthday Book for Neal (Yes, I know it's about six months away). This book would contain graphics, fiction, drawings, what a character has meant to you, whatever you feel like doing (keep it clean of course). We would send it to him and show him that he does in fact have - FANS! That might be a scary thought to him with this group.

Is this something some of you would like to do to show your appreciation? You can start now if you want. We'll come up with a deadline to have all birthday submissions in so we can have time to put it together and mail it off. We would need to come up with size limits. I was thinking of using a photo album to put the submissions in. If you want to just send a card, that's fine too. Maybe we can pimp this out on some of the other comms that are Neal related in some way.
