APOLOGIES to residents of the "Twilight" zone -- the recent trend of women and young girls swooning over vampires is starting to creep me out.

The "Twilight" books by Stephenie Meyer have become an enormous smash, with a movie adaptation in the offing. HBO is pinning its fall hopes on "True Blood," Alan Ball's adaptation of another literary property drenched in metaphorical overtones, about vampires coming out of the closet to live openly among wary humans. And let the vitriolic emails fly, but lonely hearts are still pining for "Moonlight," the vampire romance CBS cancelled in the spring.( Read more... )

Tonight is the Quantum Leap episode he did back in 1991. On the 21st is the Third Watch episode he did that was a crossover with Medical Investigation, but the rest of the story carried over to MI.

The other episodes to watch are the X-Files ones too.

ok, here's the thing: this is a community for what YOU'RE obsessed with - and that's anything - tv shows, actors, actresses, movies, books, authors, fantastical beasts, places, countries, concepts, comics - anything and everything that someone could obsess over. (no real-life stalking though....)

but the header i made - well, it looks like it's a Supernatural comm.

i've seen some awesome artwork posted in this comm, and thought i could open the suggestion to the members of this comm - and beyond. this post is a public post, but comments are screened for fairness. Please put your submissions in the comments of this post.

here's my contest - design a banner for the community:

*800-900px in width; 250-300px in height. (sorry, i don't like the 500px deep headers. eww.)
*should convey "multi-fandom" or "multi-obsession"
*should go good with the existing quote ("sorry, i can't even concentrate - it's like staring into the sun") or something else appropriate ("how are you?" "i'm obsessed, thank you very much.")
*the only restriction: only general obsessions should be represented (no pairings and the like)
*winners get to see their banner at the top of the comm and credited in the userinfo
*the contest will close August 30th at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
