Good afternoon, everyone, Moeko here with the dragons. I slept late and didn't get to have breakfast before church today. Somewhere around the second hour of what wound up being a two-hour service, I found myself not thinking so much about God and instead thinking rather a lot about how tasty the covered dish supper we were going to have smelled. As a side note, you can put away an awful lot of covered dish supper when you haven't had any breakfast. For those who don't know or haven't heard the term, a "covered dish" is something like a potluck or a cachepot dinner. All the participants, or at least most of them, bring something to share with everyone else, and you go along the table where everything is put out and have a little bit of everything. It can get somewhat more complicated if you have different dietary lifestyles like Kosher, Vegan, or more seriously, allergies, but if it's well organized and no one is an utter jerk you don't usually wind up with someone having nothing to eat besides what they brought.
