Okay. Not reposting since this is still at the top of the page, but I'm completely redoing this, because so much has changed after spending a measly HOUR watching the Abandoned Pile:

<== Taken from the abandoned pile, even though I have a buggy connection and I actually didn't click it for almost a full ten seconds after refreshing, 'cause it looked like a white egg, being on the bottom of the screen and therefore having distorted color (LCD screens, ugh).  I'm the type who doesn't want to collect hordes of the same sprite, so as soon as I have one male and one female, I'll give every silver egg I manage to breed away. I might keep one every now and then so I'll be able to breed more often, though.

And I don't intend to inbreed them, either. Since I know some people don't like inbred dragons, even though the game treats them no differently from other dragons. I don't mind rescuing them, but I won't create them.


And once I have a male and female silver (for the sake of having both sprites), I'll give away eggs. I would always get mad every time I saw a person with 20 silvers on their scroll; I don't want to become that person. So I'll spread the love and share. n_~\


I know it's not caveborn... but let's be honest. What are my chances of EVER catching one? I can't compete with the 150+ people who stalk the cave entrance. But here's a hint: I see more rare dragons pop up on the Abandoned Pile when it's NOT blocking the entrance (when it's fairly empty and everyone's stalking the entrance) than any other time. I also saw a GOLD egg today on the AP. I've seen another gold egg and two DIFFERENT gold hatchlings on the SAME DAY last week on the AP.

This was the first silver egg I've EVER seen in both the AP and the CE, so I got lucky.

Just watch the AP during the slow times; it's the best bet for finding stuff like this. I see dino eggs there fairly frequently, too.

I don't even know why I care about this. but I kind of do. I have a lot of those inbred from AP... now I through thm back uless it's a dragon I don't have yet (my stripey)

I think it's a very nice thing of you with the silvers. since dragons go on percentages, the more one person has, the ess everyone else can have.
that's also why I'm gonna pick up more pinks soon.

well currently the chances of a caveborn metallic are very slim because there are too many metallics. if I got it right, the cave mainly produces those breeds that are underrepresented and metallcis are bred so often.

My connection's so buggy and my schedule's so busy, that I don't think I'll be setting up any gifts/trades. Instead, I'll just let people know when I'm about to drop eggs in the AP.

Also, I just snatched a second silver egg off the AP, and it's ALSO got a clean pedigree AND it has no common relatives with the other silver. That I've found. They're both fairly short lineages (as with the alt black). I've noticed that silverxblack seems to yield pretty nice results (alts and silvers), based on my alt's lineage. I'll probably be breeding the silvers with that black and my CBs.
