Blood Ties and iTunes
Dec. 3rd, 2007 12:41 pmHi everyone!
Someone had been asking about the last two episodes of the season (I only consider it one season, forgive me if you think of it as two) - I started getting concerned when Tanya's blog had the announcement up. Okay fine, I got angry and then got concerned. However, in the interest of the fan nation out there for Blood Ties I wrote to iTunes and inquired about the last two episodes.
Alright, so I'm probably sending this to the wrong place, but there is no way for me to report this otherwise it seems; I download Blood Ties regularly, and weren't sure how you were handling the last two episodes of the season.
First I want to thank you for keeping them all as one season, instead of bullshitting us and calling the first twelve "season one" and the second half "season two" like Lifetime is doing to us. It means a lot to the fans (and I really mean that, even if I am the only fan writing in).
Second, the last two episodes - "We'll Meet Again" and "Deep Dark" - are not being televised. Yes, Lifetime is releasing them through their online site, but as someone who proudly trots to the iTunes Store to download the episode to have in her collection I became concerned when I heard this news.
Will the store be carrying these episodes? If not, is there anyway I can request having them carried and a way for other Blood Ties fans who download the iTunes eps (Firefox News has a special thing gonig on when you link to the series through them, as I'm sure one of the larger fansites do) to do the same?
Sorry if this is long or anything... but I wasn't terribly concerned until I heard "We'll Meet Again" was already posted up at Lifetime's site.
They said it would be no more than 48 hours for a waiting to hear back from them time; because of my previous "problem" experience (the episode of Moonlight entitled "Fever" tried to downlaod about ten times on my computer) I had found them to be very kind and had faith they would respond int heir timeframe.

Now, while it may seem a bit troubling... I went and sent them feedback. The letter was nearly the same so there isn't really a reason to post the second one here; in any case I sent feedback and felt really good about it. If everyone who downloads the Blood Ties episodes through iTunes (ESPECIALLY if it is the only thing that you buy from them) sent feedback maybe we'd get them? Also, the formatted response they give you afterwards isn't that great, but imagine if they DID contact me back??
Dear Customer:
