In HBO's hot new series TRUE BLOOD from SIX FEET UNDER creator Alan Ball, the third episode title “Mine” refers to Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) assertion that he has some sort of ownership over Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). Of course, he explains this was just in order to bluff the other vamps Bill seems to run with into thinking she’d already been sired or was already his prey.

As we know this isn’t the case and Sookie while giving into temptation from Bill and the mystery he presents to her (not to mention the ability of her not to read the mind of him), her fantasies came a bit back down to Earth.

Sookie learned that not all vampires are debonair and gentlemen-like toward humans, the opposite sex and that those who “nest” seem to be more evil than those that remain as an individual as Bill, who says they are able to retain more of their own humanity. No doubt all of this scared the bejesus out of Sookie who even said she’s had her life in danger twice already in the short period of meeting Bill.

I dare think we have seen the last of the nesting trio of vampires and more than likely we’ll get to see a battle of some sort between Bill and them as he fights for his love, his Sookie. That may or may not be helped from the addition to the cast of GENERATION KILL’s Alexander Skarsgard who takes up resident with TRUE BLOOD next week as the town becomes more feverishly entangled in vampire messes.

But like a moth to a flame, Sookie continues to explore this relationship as she visits his house (even getting aroused by the thought) and her dreams continue to get more explicit of their affairs – not that I’m complaining seeing hot Anna Paquin get all flustered and such.

Some interesting plot points coming from “Mine:”

The vampire hierarchy, who or what is “she” and who is he?
Sam’s ownership of the dog but he also barks in his sleep, this might be a spoiler but is he the dog that always is around Sookie whenever she’s near a vampire or in trouble?
Jason isn’t the killer of the women, but someone sure wants him to take the fall, methinks it isn’t a vampire at all.
Why do I think that Sam and Tara sleeping together will continue to be something that will come back into the plotline and won’t just be a “one night, no strings” affair?
Who else is excited to see Alexander Skarsgard come into the series in what looks to be a Lestatish type role?
How cool is the quick, powerful movements of the vampires that’s a nice little special effect that comes off pretty seamless in the show.
Hard to believe this already has been picked up for season two but the re-runs are doing better than the original showing, but again I’m not complaining as through three episodes, HBO finally has something good on again.
