Wow....we just got killed this week. I hate to see us keep dropping from week to week. We're getting much too close to going under 3 million already. :-(

Date: 2008-10-17 05:25 pm (UTC)But, yeah, I hate, hate, hate that stuff like GG gets higher ratings. Even a so-so SPN ep is better than their best (if they have best).

Oh man, absolutely! That's why this week hurt really bad. [sigh]

Date: 2008-10-18 04:33 pm (UTC)Tell me about it! Back in season one, before we got switched to Thursdays, we were pulling in five million!
I'm assuming the numbers will be different once they begin releasing the DVR numbers?
They've released them for Lazarus Rising and Are You There, God? It's Me, Dean Winchester (they're at my LJ), and yes, both showed increases. But it's a double edged sword, because advertisers don't like DVR numbers, because people can then fast forward through their ads.

Date: 2008-10-19 09:38 pm (UTC)And you'd be right about that. I went back to my ratings records and looked. And with the exception of BDABR, the funny ones are usually at the bottom of the pile at the end of the season:
Hell House - 3.76 million (#19 of 22)
Tall Tales - 3.03 million (#18 of 22)
Hollywood Babylon - 3.25 million (#12 of 22)
Bad Day at Black Rock - 3.03 million (#5 of 16)
Ghostfacers - 2.22 million (#16 of 16)
it might be in the best interest to move it to another night when it's not so heavy-handed with the competition.
Man, so many of us have been saying that since they moved it when season two got started, but CW just isn't listening. [sigh]
I just want the CW to last long enough for my five SPN seasons...
Amen! :-)
