I'll bet it's because of the damned hiatus. I really freaking hate how often shows go on hiatus these days. :(

Yep, both the hiatus and the ep being pre-empted in various parts of the country really hurt us this week. :-(

Ratings (sadly) have little to do with how good an episode turns out to be and more with what is on in competing time slots.

Yeah, it was. I hadn't heard about any pre-emptions before I posted the ratings, but a few folks let me know that it wasn't shown in their area.

It was preempted in a bunch of markets last night because of basketball, sweetie. Supposedly its retention from Smallville was like 74% which is good, though.

Yeah, I just found out about the pre-emptions. Between that and the hiatus we took a big hit this week. But at least it did still retain a good chunk of the SV lead in. :-)
