They've gotten too many views too quickly.

You should hide them (under "Actions").

AH I see. how long should i hide them for? and will it allways do that or just for hatchlings????

Hide them for a day; just make sure the sickness is gone before you unhide them.

Eggs will get softshell. Both are caused by the same things. Adults never get sick.

There's a section in the foums on softshell and sick hatchlings.

There are three ways it can happen. The most common seems to be too many views too quickly. The others are caused by bad ratios, I think.

My understanding is that as long as your views outnumber your unique views and your unique views outnumber your clicks; the only type of sickness you can get is from too many views too quickly.
