Underworld Prequel Gets Green-Light, a third instalment of the Underworld series has been given the green-light, Variety reports.

Former Underworld and Underworld: Evolution special effects supervisor Patrick Tatopoulos will be taking the directorial chores on Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans, a prequel to the other two films. Set to star in the film is Rhona Mitra (The Number 23), as well as Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy, who will reprise their roles as sworn enemies Lucian and Viktor. While series creator Len Wiseman will return as a producer, the franchise's marquee star, Kate Beckinsale, is taking a pass on the prequel.( Read more... )
