Fandoms... have you ever left one?
Jun. 6th, 2008 12:41 pmgrygon.livejournal.comX-Men has been a life-long obsession of mine. Since I was a kid. For me it was the cartoons that got me into the fandom. Then I got into the comics. Life was great. I met so many NICE and kind and interesting people who shared my obsession of these characters.
But alas, it wasn't meant to last. Ever since the X-Men movies came out a ton of assholes have also became interested in the fandom, and they do so much assholering.
I've met people in other fandoms who wre chased out by assholes and I never did understand them giving up on their fandom, their long-time obsession, until it happened to me. Within a year now I've been harrassed and flamed and trolled and stalked and accussed by two asshole X-Men fans and I swear...
...it may be a life-time fandom for me, but I've had it. I'm ready to put this fandom into retirement. I can't take much more harrassing from these two losers or the trolls who'll come after they finally, if ever, letitgo!
