The Adventure continues...

"Oh, I understand herbs" replied Donal. "I am an apothecary. I totally understand herbs and potions. The concoction that you have here may look innocent on the surface but is very deadly, nonetheless."
"Oh pish-tosh! I have studied herbs and potions all of my life. Some of the ingredients, by themselves, might be harmful, but mixed with other herbs have their harmful elements countered and provide soothing and healing benefits."
"That is nonesense and you know it. If your soup is so beneficial, then you drink the first cup to show us that it isn't harmful" responded Donal.
Gudrun took a ladle and started to bring the soup to her mouth. But the closer it got to her, the more her hand shook and the more the soup splashed all over.
Finally, she threw the ladle down and shouted, "Get out, you horrible people! I took you in as an act of charity and this is what I get in return for my kindness? GET OUT!"
Quickly and quietly, we left her house. We paused only to gather the hatchlings, eggs and supplies from the barn and started to leave her farm as fast as we could.
Our Hatchlings:

Just as we were leaving the barn, we heard a snarl behind us. There, standing by the door, in the glomming light, was a large black wyvern. She had the head and upper body of a voluptuous woman, with a large red ruby in her forehead. She had the legs and wings of a black eagle and the tail of large black scorpion. She advanced towards us, her eyes flashing and mumbling something that sounded like an incantation. Orlando returned to his normal self. He started speaking counter incantations and countering her every move. The air turned blue with magic being back and forth between Orlando and Gudrun.
We were stunned and fascinated watching the battle of these two magicians. Spell and counter-spell, back and forth. On and on it went. Then some movement caught my eye, it was my little son Reuel running towards the battle. I screamed and shouted his name, "NO REUEL! NO! COME BACK TO MOMMY!" I ran forth and caught him before he got too close. And I missed that Gudrun whipping her tail to catch Reuel. She missed him, but I got caught by the brunt of her tail and was sent flying into wall of the barn, where I blacked out.

Ambush in Waco picspam
