Mar. 29th, 2009 07:19 pmI came to with Donal waving something horrible smelling under my nose. "How long have I been out?" I asked.
"Just a few minutes", Donal replied. "But I need to get you out of harm's way. I didn't want to try to move you by myself in case something important was broken. I have moved everyone else back into the barn. The battle has excited the hatchlings and several have tried to "help" Orlando. I was afraid that they would distract him and get themselves killed. Celianne is doing a great job of distracting them with games."
"Thank you." I glanced over at the battle between Orlando and Gudrun. The air around them still glowed with magic, but it looked as if the battle was becoming more physical. I couldn't tell who was winning, but both seemed to have wounds.
"Do you think you can move?" Donal inquired, anxiously.
"I think so", I said uncertainly. But as I got up, I was leveled by a huge contraction.
Donal looked alarmed. But then quickly, he bent down and picked me up and carried me into the barn.

"Are you okay? I know of a tisane that might help, but I haven't heard of it being affective for anyone as far along as you are. You use black haw root bark, red raspberry leaf, wild yam root, false unicorn root and lobelia. Although, I probably shouldn't start a fire in a barn full of hay ... and I doubt if I can get to the house right now ..." Donal babbled on, nervously.
"Thank you, but, no, I think it is too late..." was all I was able to get out before another contraction hit. Donal listened carefully as I managed to gasp out instructions. One half hour later, my son Jayzon was born.
