this is the new version, from 2007. i think i want to see the original from 1986 - with C. Thomas Howell and Rutger Hauer - as well. i ended up with 300 caps - because i capped the movie, and not just Neal. :D there's some caps that have the captioning on, as a way to better undertand what's happening in the movie. i didn't cap the gross scenes, cause well, gross. this one gets filed under psychological thriller/horror, and since i enjoy the psychological thriller and cheesy horror slasher flicks? yeah, i liked this one. jumped and flinched a few times, but i think you're supposed to. if you're just here for Neal, he's in Part 2 and 3.

I almost got to flail over him this morning at church, of all places. The pastor was using clips from "The Guardian" for a sermon illustration, and when he said the name, the first thought in my head was, "OMG...these people are all going to think I'm nuts when I squee over Neal." But he wasn't in the clips that the pastor chose. :( Talk about disappointment. :P

OH sweetie you must Must MUST see the original. If you're like me it'll put you off french fries for a long long time. I still haven't seen the remake but I lurve the orig. No one does creepy ass psycho like Rutger Hauer!
