hey, i have a question.... did they change it at DC so my click and unique view count again after 24 hours? cause i thought once you clicked on a sprite, your click never counted for that sprite again. same with unique views - after the very first time i saw it, i only counted for regular views, never another UV after the first time.
Not that I'm aware of. I always thought you could only get a Click/Unique view every 24 hours, but you can still give views by refreshing the page. Or it seems like it does that whenever I come across an ER case. XD So I don't knwo how helpful that was. ^^;
oh no, it's very helpful. it's that over on another forum, there's a few newbies to DC, and when questions are asted about C/UV/V, there's a wiki page that keeps getting linked that apparently says the C/UVs count again after 24 hours. i just want to make sure that it hasn't changed.
also, you have to refresh the scroll, or a post here on a comm, for the view to count. if you're on the egg/hatchie page, and see the count go up, that's not you, that's everyone else.
*nods* I suppose as long as people are looking & they die, it's all good. I am kinda annoyed my one dragon I was hoping to raise without clicks wound up getting a few. *sighs* I think you had one you showed me & I thought it was pretty cool.
did you have a link to your scroll anywhere? forum sig or displayed on your dragons' pages? you can't even have your scroll link with your post, either. did you use fansites at all? or did you just post him for views?
There is a link to my scroll in the forums & he was on some fansites. I think I will try again with an older eggie (one form one of the older dragon breeds) So I would have to remove that link from my forum signature? And not post him anywhere? I guess treat him like a neglected? He was posted in the comm & also in my journal.

Date: 2010-07-19 03:52 am (UTC)I didn't know that. It's hard when they don't have their scroll showing... But at least I tried.

Date: 2010-07-19 03:53 am (UTC)well, you can always refresh the fansite too. it's why they have auto-refresher pages on most of 'em. =)

Date: 2010-07-19 04:07 am (UTC)when DC first started, it was 1 click and 1 UV per sprite, forever.
now, it resets after 24 hours - is that correct?

And not post him anywhere?
no - you can post him... but just the image... not the link to him. just the <*img src=""> code (without the *)
