You all are going to get tired of these screencap posts. Anyway, I watched "Cerberus."
Here's a sample:

And here is a link to 29 screencaps. I tried to downsize the picture in photobucket, but I keep getting the same size pic when I use the link they provide. If anyone objects to such a large picture, let me know and I'll try to reduce it another way.
Actually, this could have been a cool movie. Many people just love movies based on legends, and legends that surround Cerberus and Attila the Hun just beg to seen on the big screen.
However, if you're going to do a movie like this, you need great effects. The folks really tried, but the three-headed dog as well as a few other things looked too cartoonish to be taken seriously.
A few words about villainous masterminds: They usually surround themselves with utterly loyal people who are NOT idiots. The villain here had at least two idiot cohorts. Not good. Speaking of the villain, Greg Evigan made a passable one, that is until he started killing just about everyone in sight. He allowed physical strength to trump brains, and that's where he lost me.
The movie was violent, both cartoonishly and otherwise, and the violence went overboard. Way overboard.
Notes to director: Quite a few of your violent scenes have already been done. For example, the dobermans attacking the man? Saw it in a James Bond flick, but since I didn't see the violence in that one but only heard it, it was that much more menacing.
This happens all the time and I should be used to it, but why do costumers dress women in skimpy clothes even when they're heading out to have adventures? The actress was beautiful and brainy, but the brainy part suffers when she's dressed in a belly-baring tank top.
Well, Sebastian was all earnest and adorable (I love it when he gets tough), and geez, does he have nice arms or what?

Oh, one last thing. Do people in Romania still run around with torches when evil is afoot? For a second I thought I was going to see Count Dracula.

Date: 2011-05-05 02:33 pm (UTC)Despite the goofiness of some of it, I flailed, too. We all know why.
I thought his partners were very good-looking, too. I think I included a picture of one of them.
