In celebration of Craig Appreciation Day I wrote a double drabble of what I imagine happened after the show ended. :)
The chain, Craig found as soon as he ripped his shirt off in the third floor men's room, connected the small silver hoop on his nipple to an identical piercing on his navel. Both areas were slightly swollen as the skin hadn't yet started to heal around the newly imbedded jewelry. With mounting horror he became aware of the ever-present warm itch of his still tender flesh.
As a military man and all around straight laced guy, he'd never understood the appeal of shoving bits of metal into one's skin; his body was his instrument, fine tuned with years of hard exercise, and he wanted nothing to do with the silver appendages glittering across his chest and abdomen.
Grabbing hold of the delicate chain, he carefully examined the jewelry to determine the best way of removal, but the sparks of sensation that shot through him with every tug of his hand left him gasping for breath and leaning against the stall door for support.
He dropped the chain and listened to his racing heartbeat as he tried to calm his suddenly excited nerve endings. Maybe he would keep the piercing, he thought to himself. Just for a day or two.
