i'm not really into comics characters save a few, but i might go see this one - if this guy does get the part....

Holy freaking cow YES! I can so see him as Cap. I was reading an interview where he said when he was trying to get roles, he was told many times he was too "nordic" looking so that's why he started dyeing his hair. He is perfect for this role!

its so true though! even though a few years ago Marvel announced that from now on when a character died they would stay dead because the writers were always finding some loophole and bringing them back from the dead. But anyways right after they announced that, Peter Rasputin injected himself with the cure for the legacy virus, activated his powers and died (long story, if you don't know it and you want me to i can explain). fast forward a few years and an X-Men team find him in some sub-basement being kept captive... to this day i still can't help but think what the eff he's supposed to have stayed dead. i could go on but i'll stop geeking out now...

Knowing his agent's perverse fascination for killing him off, I doubt he'll get to stay alive. Granted, he'll probably make it until about two seconds before credits roll, but he'll still probably be dead. *kicks stoopid agent*

just had a thought! if they make this origins and start when steve rogers is just a skinny soldier and joins the the Super Soldier program it will end with him frozen! because if i remember correctly they froze him for a number of years and unfrosted him because they needed Cap to come back.... it may have been that Red Skeleton had got free.... *runs off to wiki* most likely their gonna wanna make a sequel or 5 and if they freeze him it will leave it wide open for another...
