Hayley’s eyes fluttered open noting that it was still fairly dark outside. The sky was just turning grey as a prelude to the rising sun and it was then that she remembered the warm body she was partially lying on top of. Allowing herself a few minutes to revel in the feeling of being held when she woke up, she laid there listening to his deep, even breathing and feeling his heart beat beneath his skin.
When her few minutes were up, she carefully removed herself from his loose grip, making sure not to wake him. She smiled at the peacefulness on his face as he slept and then blushed when she thought of the way he felt inside of her and above her. Quickly donning her clothes from the night before and grabbing her purse which had been dropped haphazardly in front of the door, she left without looking back.

Jensen woke a few hours later to an empty bed. He threw an arm over his face and allowed himself to fully wake up to thoughts of the woman who had occupied the large bed the night before. He smiled to himself. The night hadn’t turned out like he had planned, but that didn’t matter. In spite of it being a one night stand, he found himself wondering a bit more about her. But he stopped those thoughts and got up to shower and run a few errands, thoughts of the night before floating through his memory.

Later that day, Hayely was sitting and eating a quick lunch in her apartment when her cell phone rang.
“Hello?” she asked politely having not recognized the number on the screen.
“Hello, my name is Dorothy Peterson, and I’m calling on behalf of the CW. We need a replacement make up artist on the set of one of our television shows in your area for a few months. Our normal artist is out for some pressing family business.” The woman on the other line was warm yet businesslike, and Hayley found herself feeling sorry for the woman who had such a big family issue that she would be gone for a few months.
“I’m sorry to hear about the original artist’s conflicts, but I am available,” she replied, pulling a pen and small pad of sticky notes closer to her to jot down the information.
“Wonderful!” Dorothy exclaimed. “You’ll be needed on the set of Supernatural.” Hayley wrote down the phone number and address of the studio and instructions on where to go when she arrived on Monday morning. “The director and assistant make up artist will fill you in on what exactly you’ll be doing for them. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to call me personally.”
Hayley wrote down that number as well with a small smile. “Thank you very much Ms. Peterson. I appreciate the phone call.”
They hung up and Hayely let herself fully smile. After a few months of no work except crummy waitressing jobs to hold her over, she finally was able to work with stage make up again. Shortly after that, her cell phone rang again but this time she knew the caller.
“Megan!” she yelled into the phone, a smile firmly in place.
“Hey! So, I’m bored and we both have the day off. Shopping?” she asked, getting right to the point.
“Hell yes, I’ll pick you up in five minutes.”

After browsing through stores for a few hours, the two women sat down for some coffee.
“So, what happened to you last night?” Megan asked, a knowing smirk on her face. “You left without saying anything to us.”
Hayley blushed a bright pink. “Yeah,” she said, drawing out the word. “I met this guy and we ended up back at his place for the night.” Megan’s eyes went wide and Hayley laughed. “Yeah, pretty much.”
Both girls let out giggles that could probably rival a teenager’s, but they didn’t care.
“And get this, I got a phone call today from the CW. They need a make up artist on the set of some show called Supernatural for the next few months.”
“That’s awesome!” Megan announced. “I’ve never heard of that show, though.”
“Me neither. But I go meet the producers on Monday and I will probably start that day.”
“Well, now you can quit that crappy job at the diner.”
“Yeah really.”
The girls finished their coffee and stood up.
“You do realize, I want the details of last night with that guy, right?” Megan said.
Hayley laughed, shouldering her purse. “I know.”
