Intro Post & some Recommendations

welcome to "It's in the Blood"... a vamp community for ALL of the vamp shows out there....i've got:

*Dark Shadows
*Forever Knight
*Kindred: the Embraced
*Buffy the Vampire Slayer
*Angel
*Blood Ties
*Moonlight

and... movies and books are welcome here too: Lost Boys, Anita Blake, the "Southern Vamp" series, and much much more! :D

we're not here to compare or contrast, or say "my show is better than yours" - we're here to squee about it! (it's kinda like my obsessions_r_us comm, but for vamps).

what's allowed here? fanfic (canon, AU, crossovers, slash), fanart, picspams, upcoming appearances of vampire actors - as long as there's a vampire involved. Fanfic and fanart needs a warning; appearances and news items should be credited. suggestions are always allowed as well!

what's not allowed - bashing, flaming (fire usually kills vamps), and thinking you really are a vamp. ;)

i thought i'd start it off with two recommendations for AU fanfics!

*Bid My Blood to Run, by xtremeroswellia: one-shot, Smallville/Supernatural Crossover AU, rated NC17 - Dean/Chloe
*Blood Bonds: the Mayaverse Series, by me (at trys_writer): at this time, there's 13 fics in the series, but each fic "ends." parts range from PG13 to NC17 - Dean/Maya, Sam/OFC

:D Awesome. I read more vampire fiction than I watch the shows. Though Moonlight is love.

The Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles, and Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires are two really good series. The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer are pretty good, too. :D

And the movies for Interview With The Vampire and Queen of the Damned are good, though not quite as good as the books. The Blade trilogy is great too. ♥
