if it loads on my flist, i've given it a view. i'll go to the post if it's behind a cut. two of my LJ comms require cuts, so on one i go back to my entry, and on the other i go to the bottom of the first page; open the post. then i use the next arrow and view all the posts until it says there are no more. i rarely click on the Cave sprites, since i know that it's the views that matter. and i view in stealth mode, unless someone asks a question or something.

if i put my sprites on Eggs will be Dragons (or the DC Fansite), i'll have the pop-up windows giving views just about all day long.

i know a lot of this varies person-to-person - i post in 9 LJ comms, EwbD sometimes, and even my own LJ to give a little hatchie a boost.

how about you?

I have all my LJ community posts go to my LJ inbox and in the inbox you see whatever is behind cuts. If I have time (usually only at weekends) I'll go to individual posts, check out owners' scrolls if they're accepting aid and so on. On weekdays I trawl through my inbox flagging up non-critter posts to revisit, click on UniCreatures then skim through the dragon posts, clicking on a few dragons but not spending time as I have at the weekends knowing the views the dragons get from me looking at my inbox, trawling through, refreshing the screen and so on helps them.

It's exactly the same as with friends' LJs. It means no scrolling back through individual communities, trying to remember what was the last post you read was at each. I've refined how I work through my inbox, it used to be just sci-fi fandom posts going there, then other interests and now dragon cave and unicreatures related posts.

I go to the communities several times a day, and I usually refresh anywhere from three to five times each time I'm there. I always view any behind cuts.

I like to click every egg, and sometimes if I'm bored I'll go ahead and click the full communities. I always click in [livejournal.com profile] dragonspam3, because there's only one or two other people posting there besides me. It only takes a second. Sometimes I'll come here and click away in the evenings when we're watching tv. It gives me something useful to do when I'm not otherwise being productive.

I usually only comment if it's to welcome a newcomer, or if someone asks a question.

I usually post to two LJ comms a day, occasionally three, so when I post, I just go through and ninja-click all the dragons and other creatures back to my post from the previous day. Or if I post in the morning, I click throughout the day. And some days I may comment.
