Where are you at there??

They were both great, but again there was something about Sitka that really struck us. It might be because they excursion we did was small, and well planned. And we actually got taken out for a beach walk away from everything else.

I'm in Anchorage.. or as the Square-bankians ( Fairbanks ) like to say "Skankorage".

That's good to hear about the tour in Sitka. My company works with a few operators there and they seem kind of lacking on customer service or whatnot.. Good though that you got a good tour in. :)

Did you hit Skagway at all? I loved Skagway, so much history.

No to Skagway, which was a disappointment. I had really wanted to go. Ketchikan did feed some of my history love at least, with Totem Bite Park. But whoever ran our boat tour was wonderful. The guides were great, there was hot drinks and they planned for the weather so there was still plenty to see and do. I was so unprepared for how much rain there was!
