Your retail manager comment got me! XD I work in an airport bookstore so cross your average angry customer with angry tourist stress, and you can imagine what I come across on a bad day ;)

We don't share many fandoms, but I'm an avid reader and love travelling and hearing about other people's travels... you sound really interesting :)

Whenever I travel, I am always in awe with the people that have to face that kind of stress on a daily basis. I always just try to have several books in hand, my ipod charged and get as close to zen as possible -- just take everything one step at a time.

As for fandoms, I was JUST catching up on Tudors from when I was traveling before (still a few more to go) and I love pretty much anything with words in it. I bet we get along MORE than swimmingly. ;)

Thankfully I haven't come up against anything too drastic, usually just people being ignorant and in a rush... I make a double effort to be polite to airline staff, although I love travelling so I'm usually pretty mellow ;)

Season 2 doesn't seem to have made its way on to tv or DVD here just yet, so we're still waiting... I watch it with my mom, so it's not a download option... they actually shoot here in Ireland, which I think is fantastic! :)
