Honestly, your one little sentence just makes me laugh. Well, we all know that you are a talented writer, but to do so with an economy of words really is impressive. If I didn't tell you before, I keep my DS zines in a drawer beside my bed, and Peachy Keen" is one of my favorite stories for DS or any zine. I tried to write to each author and I can't remember if I wrote to you. I had some trouble with e-mails bouncing. Is your e-mail that is printed in the book still viable?
thanks for the photo. I have tried to watch other episodes, but only managed to watch one or two before getting bored or wanting to go to back to this one. I read some commentary about this show, like what the weaving means, and how Queen Penelope kept unraveling the stitching she had done so she would not have to pick a suitor, etc. It really takes a strong person to be different, and I guess the dream is that it we stick to our guns someone really amazing will appear? In any case, it was a fun fantasy with our favorite guy.
Except for Sebastian's episode, the show didn't appeal to me very much. I'm never sure why women in many TV series have to work so hard to prove something, whether it's a relationship, work, or friendships with other women.
Shows with that kind of theme have been done before and done well. The old "Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Golden Girls" and "I Love Lucy" were all much better than this show. Yes, I know these three shows were comedies, but I think the comparisons are valid.
"Emily Owens, M.D." showed a lot of promise in presenting strong women in interesting ways, but sadly, that show was canceled after one season. Of course, I bought the episode Sebastian was in!
