Gone Too Soon: Boomtown

I remember watching Boomtown for the first time. I remember where I was, and at what point in our lives it was on the air. Now, I watch a lot of television and have seen and forgotten more shows than most people would ever even want to be aware of. But Boomtown had that much of an impact on me.

Oh, I'm a sucker for a unique premise or take on familiar territory. I first tuned in to 24 because it took place in "real time," and I just had to see how that would work. I tuned into Boomtown because it promised me a look at crime from every possible perspective. How, I wondered, is that possible? And yet it brilliantly, beautifully and all too briefly was.

I LOVED Boomtown - still do in fact :D I watch the Halloween episode every once in a while when I need a laugh :D That scene with the cops and the teenagers kills me! XD

I got into Boomtown late(how late???? Oh after I fell in lust with Neal in Tin Man. Yeah I'm slow and stupid).

Now it's one of my favorite tv shows.

Hey - none of that 'slow and stupid'! I am in the same boat! And yes, it is now one of MY favourites, so much so that I've shoved the DVD of Season 1 in at least 4 of my friends' faces. One of them is now spruking that it's one of HER favourites!

Oh I know that one too. I even got MI. The only reason I didn't watch it when it was on is because of Kelli Williams.

I watch it with one eye, so I don't have to deal with her on MI and Lie to me now.

My favourite show of all time. I remember watching the first half dozen episodes on TV before it got shafted (apparently the remaining eps did go to air in Australia, or at least on the eastern states, but I missed them if they were screened in Perth). Later on I downloaded them all and fell more in love, and then I got the DVD. My favourite episode is probably Blackout.

I loved Boomtown. Didn't know it existed until I fell in lust with Neal, but had to buy it once I knew about it. Actually I bought it twice. Second time was from Amazon France, just to get the extra six episodes (obsessed much?!) Anyone who loves Neal has to see it.
